Louie’s Old Mill

The mill was first opened as a restaurant in the early 1920’s as the Old Mill Tea House where you could get “all you can eat for $1”. Almost every day we hear about memories from the past 85 years in this historic building which once supplied Washington’s men with grain during the Battle of Crooked Billet in the Revolutionary War, 1778.

Private Parties for up to 90 people can be accommodated in any of our 3 event spaces. Our creek side patio is also available in season.  New memories are being made and great food is being enjoyed once again at the Old Mill in Hatboro!

Louie’s Old Mill Hatboro

A Classic Italian BYOB with Decadent Desserts at the Corner of Horsham & York Roads

After a year-long restoration of the oldest building in Hatboro, est. 1774, the Old Mill was reopened in July 2016. This rustic B.Y.O.B. with American specialties and traditional Italian dishes sits along the Pennypack Creek in one of Pennsylvania’s oldest grist mills.

After being closed in early 2011, the mill was sold to the current owners in late 2013. Major restorations began in April 2015. A new open kitchen was installed on the second floor, 3 dining spaces have been restored exposing original stone walls and large wooden beams and columns from almost 3 centuries ago. Beautifully updated bathrooms were constructed on each floor making our first floor totally accessible.
